The children of the family find the boys to be unkind and annoying.  They become resentful.  As their mother tells wonderful stories each evening about Fides, a knight for the Lord, who fights against different giants, such as Giant Hate, Giant Sloth, etc, some of the children begin to see that they need to examine their own hearts before they so quickly judge others.  We all enjoyed this book.
