Advent is upon us.  As we approach the Christmas season, perhaps we can slow down a bit, and spend time together on those things that are really important:  Christ’s birth and family.  Arnold Ytreeide has written these Advent adventure books to draw you into what it really was like to be living among the Jewish people during the time of Jesus.  But beware!  Once you start these books, your children will run to get them each evening, and you will not be allowed to do anything else until you read the story for that night.

Arnold Ytreeide is a very gifted author.  He weaves fictional characters into the Bible stories that maintain accuracy, and keep you in suspense and excited to learn more about Advent and Easter.  When we read Jotham’s Journey this last Christmas for Advent, it was hard to read just one story a night.  Amon’s Adventure is new for Easter.  You do not want to miss it!  Our family just loves these stories, and we hope you will too.
