We were very excited when we found these books. My son, David, had just learned to read in the last year. He really began to take off, and when he received this set for Christmas, he was ecstatic! We have all enjoyed these books even though they are written for 10 through about 14 (although my son was 8 when he started them). Lois Johnson weaves the history of the Vikings into the stories. They are quite exciting and historically accurate.
