This is the final book in Chuck Black’s Knights of Arrethtrae series.  We have enjoyed these books so much and this one was terrific too.  Although this is an allegory of the end times, Chuck Black is not making a doctrinal statement of what Revelations really means.  It is a very loose allegory and although not from a reformed perspective, Chuck Black highlights faith and courage in our Lord even after pride brings a man near to complete destruction.

We thought the Kingdom Series books were great.  And they are!  But then we read Sir Kendrick and absolutely loved it even more.  Chuck Black has written about knights and their missions that take place during the 4th to 6th books of the Kingdom Series.  He focuses on different character traits (both Godly and sinful) of the knights and how they affect the decisions they make.

Sir Kendrick Synopsis:

A dangerous new order threatens the mission of the Knights of Arrethtrae. Only loyalty to the King can bring victory!

Binding of the Blade Series

We could not put this series down.  What excellent writing and a worthwhile allegory, always pointing to how we need to obey and love God the father (called AllFather in the series).  There are five books to the series.  We know you will enjoy these.  Just so you know, there is a love story in the first book, Beyond the Summerland, but it is very pure.

The Knights of Arrethtrae is a medieval action/adventure series allegory. Building upon the Kingdom of Arrethtrae as created in The Kingdom Series books, these stories fit within the time of the waiting years, between books 3 and 5. This is analogous to the Church Age or the Time of the Gentiles. This is not a chronological series like the Kingdom Series, for each book stands alone and tells of the adventures of individual knights during this time period.
